-I have a job. I will be teaching first grade. Stay tuned for updates! I will be starting July 18th, so right now I am enjoying my summer break and thinking about all the stuff I will need for next year. I finished my orientation for my program and I feel more ready to teach in an urban environment.
-I have friends! Everyone is so nice and I feel like I am meeting people left and right. One of my friends lives pretty close and we have meeting to get Snoballs.
-Food! "Snoballs?" you ask. They are Snow Cones, Shave Ice, but southern. A whole bunch of condensed milk, delicious. Here is a picture of me enjoying a Mounds flavored snoball at my favorite place, Plum's. It's down the street. I can walk to awesome food places.

Some of the other places I've enjoyed so far: Panola St. Cafe (also down the street), Lebanon Cafe, Camelia Grill (I've been there too many times), and tonight my roommate and I went to Cowbell, I think it's the best burger I've ever had. If you come and visit, we will be eating there.
-Started the church search Sunday. Everyone was really nice at the place I went last week, I will go back this Sunday. I wish it was OCCEC or RCC, but I know that every church is different.
-My house is super cute. I will post pictures later when I am unpacked. We have termites, which is to be expected of an old house. I love my roommate. She has 2 cats and right now Lucy doesn't know what to do with them, but everyday they get along a little bit better.
I feel less like a tourist everyday, which is good.
That's all I have for now, au revoir!
